The Blair County Sports Hall of Fame extends condolences on the passing of longtime local artist Jim Steiner.
Jim drew large caricatures of all 95 of the Hall of Fame’s inductees that have been on display at each banquet. His contributions date back to 1987 at Penn State Altoona when he provided the backdrop that helped set the tone for the Hall of Fame.
“Jim did great work for us,” Steve Sheetz, the Hall of Fame’s first president, said.
Jim attended every banquet and will be missed.
